Welcome to my website! Here you can find out all what I've been doing to my train layout, progress in construction ect. Construction of the layout started in 1991, composed mainly of a few train sets I had received in my early to mid childhood, it's come a long way since then. In more recent times, the cheap starter set style plastic box cars and hoppers and passenger cars, are slowly but surely disappearing, in favor of some new precision designed boxcars with kadee style knuckle couplers. The locomotives have also been upgraded with all wheel drive detailed scale models replacing the single truck drive locomotives. There are two main reasons for these upgrades; the first being the new trestle. Steep grades put a huge strain on the locomotives as it does for the old for the couplers! In the case of the locomotives, the trains can come to a halt on the steeper sections of the trestle; due to lack of traction from the one truck only drive systems. As for the couplers, they tend to come un hooked. The second reason for the equipment upgrades has to do with my more mature in interest. It's not enough anymore, for one of my locomotives, for instance, to have both horns installed on top of its cab roof. Those horns must all be the proper type for that locomotive.
